To access the online features of the Xbox 360, it must be registered on the NMSU network. To do this, find your MAC address and call the ICT Help Desk:
Finding the media access controller (MAC) address, also referred to as an ethernet address or physical address, depends on the version of you Xbox 360's dashboard.
For the old dashboard (pre-NXE):
01 Go right to reach the System 'blade' of the Dashboard
02 Select 'Network Settings'
03 Select 'Edit Settings'
04 Under 'Basic Settings' check to make sure 'IP Settings' is on 'Automatic'
05 Go right to get the 'Additional Settings' tab
06 Go down to select 'Advanced Settings'
07 Toward the bottom of the screen you should see your 'Wired MAC Address'
On the new dashboard NXE:
01 Scroll down (if necessary) to 'My Xbox'
02 Go all the way to the right and select 'System Settings'
03 On the new screen, select 'Network Settings'
04 Select 'Configure Network'
05 Under 'Basic Settings' check to make sure 'IP Settings' is on 'Automatic'
06 Go right to select the 'Additional Settings' tab
07 Go down and select the second item 'Advanced Settings'
08 Towards the bottom of the screen you should see your 'Wired MAC Address'
